WAC is proud to announce the launch of our retail sesame oil line — bottled, labelled, and packaged at our Balcad facility. Each 500ml bottle carries the WAC seal and traceability code linking back to the cooperative of origin.
Sesame has long been a staple oil crop in Somalia, but until now most of the value-add has happened outside the country. This launch keeps processing, packaging, and branding in the hands of women farmers.
Initial distribution is focused on Mogadishu and Balcad; regional expansion is planned for Q3 2026.
